The Work In Progress

In early 2026, a team of filmmakers, including former Sec. of Labor Robert Reich, wondered what it would be like to invite 30- and 80-year-olds to gather in conversation about America. The idea was to visit six states in six months, convening a wide variety of mostly strangers to play a simple game:

– Pull up a chair
– Ask each other questions
– Take the time to listen
