MARGUERITE: FROM THE BAUHAUS TO THE POND FARM
Q&A with Director David Washburn and Former Pond Farm students followed by a complimentary reception with food and beverage
Trained at the famed Bauhaus, Marguerite Wildenhain was one of Europe’s most talented ceramists. During World War II, she fled to America and started a new life at Pond Farm—an isolated ranch in Northern California. Marguerite: From the Bauhaus to Pond Farm follows this extraordinary refugee and shows how a generation of artists journeyed to Sonoma County to learn from the reclusive Master Potter.
The documentary is a production of Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods and California State Parks and was supported by the generous donations of many individual contributors.
